Grass is going into the surf camp garden now. All the windows are fitted and next week, all the bathroom equipment will be in.

This afternoon, we take delivery of another big container of furniture, etc. More and more enquiries to deal with each day – it looks like Christmas may already be pretty full!

We are not taking photos now (for publication) until completion as all the items currently being done are the finishing ones and we’d like to keep them under wraps until everything is ready. See you soon at Swell

Here are the pool lights – the pool is finished and being filled today – they are magical! When there is water in the pool, these fiber-optic lights n will sparkle through the moving water and appear like stars on the surface. Opposite these star lights, will be 4 gradually colour-changing spots lights

After a short visit to Miami, we arrive back in Cabarete this afternoon to see that we still have some great swell in the bay. Encuentro is probably firing each morning which is unusual given our normally ‘flat’ summers. The beach is busy and bustling with people enjoying their chosen water sport.

Jim says tomorrow looks very good for an SUP session in the main bay.

Whilst in Miami, we were concentrating on the sound system for the camp – buying a system that can provide us with music throughout the communal area and garden. Shortly, I will go and visit the camp to see what was done whilst we have been away and update some photos later. Hasta Pronto

Another good SUP session for Jim this morning with Sven – they are both hooked on SUP’s. Tomorrow the swell looks set to getter bigger again so probably they will take up their shortboards and head for Encuentro – what great choices we have here. The summer is producing some very good surfing conditions, so everyone is happy.

Our visit to the construction site today was very pleasing; the building is beginning to resemble the cool surf hostel it will become – we were making some more planting plans so that the garden looks great. An annoying change we had to make to the water cistern now looks as though it will be the favourite place for people to sit; at the end of the communal area, the cistern is raised 1 metre above ground. Now we will put a sail roof on it and create a breezy viewing deck with huge bean bags – very happy about that
