The choice of activities we have on offer is really staggering at our surf camp. Apart from skiing or snowboarding (for the obvious reasons), pretty much every sporting activity is available to you from our surf camp.
We have picked the best available instructors, coaches or guides, some of them acknowledged world-leaders in their sports. We are also experienced surfers, kiteboarders and windsurfers ourselves so we know what we are talking about. ( Read about the Swell staff here ).

Surfing // Lessons, rentals and guided surf trips

We are only a few minutes by camp transportation from Encuentro the Dominican Republic’s most consistent surf break.
If you are a beginner, there is NO better place in the world to learn to surf. Perfect conditions exist at this beach all year round and the water temperature never drops below 78 F which makes early starts really enjoyable.
If you are an experienced surfer, Encuentro is also great for you, offering several different peaks. We can also organize trips to several other great surf breaks less than one hour away from the Camp. Don't want to bring your own board or want to test other boards?

If our staff is not fully booked with surf lessons from clients that are staying with us, and you want to learn to surf in a safe and fun way, then send us an email and we might be able to give you surf lessons

Stand up paddle surfing (SUP) // Lessons and rental

A new and exciting sport, and Cabarete has excellent conditions for people of all abilities, learn the basics inside the bay, where the water is flat, or if you are more experienced, enjoy the excellent waves on the reef where it will be just you and maybe 1 or 2 others on the water!
We have SUP boards from Naish, Starboard and McTavish available for rent. We can also show you some nice remote places where there are no other surfers to get in your way.Btw: We SUP in the Ocean, not in some stinkin' Lagoon ;-) see our pics here

Kite surfing // kite surf lessons and guided down wind trips

Just across the road from our camp is Bozo Beach; a kite-surfer's paradise. Kite Beach and the flat water river mouth of La Boca are also only a very short ride away.

We are proud of the fact that we are the safest and best kitesurf school in Cabarete, since we have the most experienced kite instructor working with us and we teach with the latest 2010 kitesurf gear.
